I am pleased that the report recognises the importance of anaesthetic care and perioperative medicine in delivering good outcomes for our patients. This approach has been welcomed by the Royal College of Anaesthetists
Patients undergoing vascular procedures face particular risks due to co-existing disease and complex interventions. They benefit greatly from expert anesthetic care. The VASGBI will work with the the College, the Vascular Society and other partners to ensure that the perioperative care and expertise delivered by anaesthetists is at the centre of the care of these patients.
