Join VASGBI

Membership is currently £35 per annum.

Benefits of VASGBI Membership:

Early notification about the annual scientific meeting.

Preferential rates at our meetings: attending the ASM just once every 3 years would cover the cost of your membership.

We will notify you about any important events in the field of vascular anaesthesia.

As a member, you are entitled to apply for our Trainee Research and Audit Development grants to support research and audit projects in the field of vascular anaesthesia undertaken by anaesthetic trainees. These have a value of up to £5000 and are advertised frequently.

All members are entitled to stand for the society's committee when positions are available.

As a member you are helping the society to promote the care of vascular patients, ensuring there is a scientific meeting to develop and allow sharing of the latest knowledge in vascular anaesthesia. Funds generated from membership and meetings allow VASGBI to support major research projects via grants within the NIAA platform.

VASGBI represents the majority of consultant vascular anaesthetists, speciality doctors and trainees considering a career in the speciality in the UK. By joining, members become part of the vascular anaesthesia community.
The Society supports its members for National clinical excellence awards.
As the official representative of vascular anaesthesia, the Society deals with any external bodies requiring guidance on these matters including:
  • The Royal College of Anaesthetists
  • The Association of Anaesthetists
  • The Vascular Society (VSGBI)
  • The Department of Health
  • NICE
  • National Institute of Academic Anaesthesia
  • British Radiology society
The Society represents the views of the membership on appropriate standards for educational training in vascular anaesthesia.
